The programme was aimed at providing information about MIHE Postgraduate programmes to prospective students. It further served as an opportunity for prospective students to find out more about student life, Student Finance and Student Welfare at MIHE.

Asim Riaz, the Business Development and Marketing Executive of MIHE, said the institution sought to forge with links with Muslim organisations in finance, banking, education and social development based in South Africa.

Riaz also announced MIHE’s mission to make partial bursaries of 1 200 pounds available to South African students to cover part of their tuition fees.

MIHE offers MA courses in Islamic Banking & Finance and Islamic Studies and MEd in Islamic Education. The MA equips candidates with a comprehensive understanding of the economics, the financial instruments and the regulatory framework that underpin the Islamic financial services sector.

The MEd programme aims to open up professional development pathways for Muslim educators, imams, activists and youth workers who want to develop effective learning and teaching skills.

MIHE advocates an interdisciplinary approach to research. Full research degree MPhil and PhD provision in specialist fields of scholarly study are offered in the following broad areas and disciplines: Islamic Studies, Islamic Economics, Islamic Banking and Finance, Inter-faith Relations, Muslim Community Studies, Islamic Law/Jurisprudence and Education/Islamic Education. Several short courses are also offered.

MIHE is a pioneering institution in the field of Islamic education, Islamic Banking and research in the United Kingdom. MIHE is an Associate College of the University of Gloucestershire, and its degrees are validated by the University.

MIHE has a well-established library with excellent facilities, featuring a comprehensive collection of up to date books and journals. The campus is set in idyllic and tranquil surroundings, conducive to study and learning, providing residential and catering facilities.
