On Workers’ Day (1 May) at Izulu Theatre - Sibaya in Umhlanga, Durban, I witnessed more than just a celebration of cultural dance and talent; I observed the splendour of 150 years being celebrated in true Indian style. It was what you would see in the movies, only this was connected to the real life of Indians living in South Africa. From a spicy curry song to an explosion of Bollywood fusion, onlookers were treated to a display of sheer Indian talent.
